Summary

Results of investigation assessment distribution and research for breeding technology measures Yentu yellow ochna Yentu yellow ochna is a precious and valuable gene. Since 2007, FAVRI’s experts had studied to conserve and to develop it. Survey results showed that Yentu yellow ochna distributed mainly in the area Yentu pagoda (Uong Bi town) and Tay Son village (Dong Trieu district), Quang Ninh province. PCR test results showed that Yentu yellow ochna and southern yellow ochna are the same species Ochna integerrima (Lour.) Merr. but there are some differences in form. Breeding research results showed that breeding method on graft branches by foot of southern ochna is hight survival rate and reasonable effect.
