SUMMARY

Testing Production of Tu Quy lilium variety “Tu Quy” variety (Lilium formolongi) is originated from The Netherlands. This variety was introduced, selected by Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute in 2005 and recognized as testing crop for production in 2009 according to Decision No. 161/QD -TT-CLT on June, 4th 2009. In order to provide complete technical process of producing and propagating for “Tứ Quý” for the purpose of improving productivity, quality and efficiency of this one, thereby expanding the area to meet domestic demand and towards export market, we carried out the project "Production testing of Tu Quy variety”. After 2 years of implementation, the project has been achieved a number of results as follows: completing two processes of propagation and commecial production for “Tu Quy” variety. Supplying 587.000 stems and 1.477.300 bulbs to the market. Total turnover after 2 years of project implementation was 3,193,344 million. Building four successful demonstrations of cut flower production at Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute and in Muong La - Son La with a total area of 2.35ha. The results showed that the variety has a good growth and development, high yield and quality. Through the project, we also opened a short and long term training courses of propagating, planting and care, harvesting and preserving “Tu Quy” variety for 160 growers. Furthermore, we held some field trips for visiting the demonstrations on flower production and learning efficiently.
