SUMMARY

The purpose of this research was to make a reciprocal cross among three varieties such as Longiflorum hybrid 'Sacre Coeur' (L-genom), L.longiflorum Thunb. 'kèn ngang' (L-genom) and L.xformolongi 'Tứ Quý'(F-genom) by normal pollination method in order to create  some new Longiflorum hybrids which have different morphology compared to parents varieties, a good growth and development, high quality and resistant to main desiease. The experiment was carried out for 5 years (from 2008 to 2012) in Fruits and Vegetables Research Institute. The breeding results in 2008-2009 was selected two Longiflorum hybrids as LK4 (L.xformolongi 'Tứ Quý' x Longiflorum hybrid 'Sacre Coeur'), LK5 (L.xformolongi 'Tứ Quý' x L.longiflorum Thunb. 'kèn ngang') with white flower, up-facing and ovate leaf type while male varieties possess side-facing and lanceolate leaf shape. One of the especial characters is available resistance to Black citrus aphid (Toxoptera aurantii). From 2010 to 2012, two hybrids were multiplicated by in vitro so that testing and valuating clonal lines in the greenhouse.
